What is a CUSTOM Facial?
A facial is the most popular treatment performed by estheticians. It is a good way for your therapist to get a good understanding of your skin prior to suggesting more aggressive treatments. A CUSTOM facial generally includes makeup removal and skin cleansing, exfoliation by mechanical, enzymatic or chemical means, steaming, extractions, facial massage, a treatment mask, serum/moisturizer and sunblock. For most people, facials can be scheduled every four weeks, although your esthetician may recommend a different schedule based on your individual needs.
What is a Hydrodermabrasion?
Hydro-Regimen Elite is our advanced hydrodermabrasion treatment that combines physical and chemical exfoliation with deep hydration. This service uses a specialized wand to vacuum out impurities and dissolve dead skin cells while simultaneously infusing the skin with professional-grade serums. It is the ultimate "clean sweep" for your pores.
This treatment is highly effective for refining skin texture, reducing puffiness, and deeply hydrating dry or dull complexions. Because it uses water and serum infusion rather than harsh crystals, the Hydro-Regimen Elite is gentle yet powerful. There is zero downtime involved; you will leave REGIMEN THEORY with an immediate "glass skin" glow and a perfectly hydrated, plumped appearance.
What is Dermaplaning?Â
Dermaplaning is a form of manual exfoliation similar in theory to microdermabrasion but without the use of suction or abrasive crystals. An esthetician grade, sterile blade is stroked along the skin at an angle to gently “shave off” dead skin cells from the epidermis. Dermaplaning also temporarily removes the fine vellus hair of the face, leaving a very smooth surface. As with any type of exfoliation, the removal of dead skin cells allows home care products to be more effective, reduces the appearance of fine lines, evens skin tone and assists in reducing milia, closed and open comedones, and minor breakouts associated with congested pores. Dermaplaning can be an effective exfoliation method for clients that have couperose (tiny blood vessels near the surface of the skin), sensitive skin or allergies that prevent the use of microdermabrasion or chemical peels. Due to the contours of the face, certain areas of the face (such as the eyelids and nose) are not treatable using this method.
What is Microdermabrasion?Â
Microdermabrasion uses an adjustable applicator head that removes dead surface skin cells and initiates cellular turnover at the dermis and epidermis levels in a safe controlled manner. This approach respects the integrity of the skin and promotes even healing. Maintaining even cellular growth on the surface aids in the youthfulness of the skin’s appearance. Microdermabrasion has been used to treat aging and sun-damaged skin, some types of acne and acne scarring, altered pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, and stretch marks. Results may include improved skin tone, fewer breakouts, diminished appearance of scars, even skin color, refined skin pores, renewed elasticity, and a healthy glow.
What is a Dermalogica™ Pro Power Peel
A Dermalogica™ Pro Power Peel is a professional-grade acid solution applied to the skin to dissolve the outermost layer of dead cells. This process reveals the fresher, younger layer below and is highly effective at treating concerns like aging, sun damage, acne, and uneven skin tone.
At Regimen Theory, we specialize in light to moderate peels that prioritize skin health without the aggressive downtime of traditional chemical treatments. Light peels allow you to return to your normal activities immediately, while moderate peels may require just a day or two of recovery. You won’t experience severe, painful peeling—only minor flaking at most as your skin regenerates its natural glow.
